Winter Solstice is the day that marks the longest night of the year and the shortest day of the year. It holds the energy of the light being reborn out of the darkness and rebirth out of death. This festival celebrates the Return of the Light and celebrates the birth of the new solar year.
The darkest part of the year is now giving birth to the light. The energy of the Earth element is strong, the nights are long and many animals are hibernating. The root energy has been strengthened and the dream world amplified so the mysteries can be more understood. The deep wisdom of the dark brings forth spiritual luster and insight. It is a time of reflection (“standing still”) before moving forward with great activity. The wisdom gained within during the darkest days now informs the outer self ready to bring vision into the world manifest.
Winter Solstice is the time to birth your vision and name your dreams.
